Electronic Requiem is a conceptual mini-album that reconstructs and reinterprets early electronic works by Gulan. Across three compositions, the album explores various approaches to integrating symphonic form, vocal expression, and electronic structure. Each track serves a distinct structural and artistic function within the overall cycle.
1. Prologue: Female Vocalise Edition (3:08)
A reconstructed version of Prologue (2007), arranged in a cinematic style featuring female vocalise and choral textures. The composition combines symphonic form with electronic techniques, incorporating dramaturgical and apocalyptic elements. It serves as a conceptual opening to the album’s internal progression.
2. Electronic Symphony, Part II: Female Vocalise Edition (4:48)
The second part of the symphonic cycle, based on the reworking of original material from Electronic Symphony by Gulan (1993). The piece is arranged in a lyrical mode, centered on solo female vocalise integrated into an electro-symphonic score. The sound is characterized by chamber-like expressiveness and gradual development, with a focus on vocal timbre as the primary expressive medium.
3. Synthetic-X2 (Remastered 2025) (2:58)
The final track of the album is a remastering of material originally composed within the Prologue (2007) electronic cycle. Presented as an instrumental piece, it features a dark tonal palette and symphonic layers. The closing section includes a distinctive electric guitar solo, providing a logical and emotional conclusion to the album.
